Tauron 3-24x56 ED SFP Rifle Scope Review

2024-07-29

Here is the Tauron 3-24x56 ED SFP Rifle Scope review from Brady Stottman.

The Tauron 3-24x56 rifle scope excels in precision long range shooting catering primarily those who want a great optic for a budget price. The scope excels in providing a clear picture even at high magnification.

Pros:

1. High Magnification: A standout feature of the Tauron 3-24x56 is its magnification range, which allows users to zoom in on targets effectively at short to long range distances. Whether for long-range hunting or tactical scenarios, the scope provides great clarity and detail.

2. Clear Glass: The clarity of the scope's glass is noticeable, with sharp and clear picture. The optic provided me with a  clear sight picture. The scope also does well in low light.

3. Good Reticle Design: The reticle is crisp and clear, offering a pine tree design with a “cross and dot'' center crosshair. The center reticle also has the option to be illuminated.

Cons:

1. Weight: One downside is the weight of the scope. At 34.9 ounces (991 grams), it is fairly heavy. This weight may impact handling and balance, especially for users who prefer lightweight gear. It would be best used for long range precision shooting, as it made my hunting rifle fairly heavy.

2. Dim Illumination in Daylight: Even though there are illumination settings, the brightness can be insufficient during the day. The reticle appears as a dark red color even with illumination on the highest setting.

Conclusion:

Overall, the Tauron 3-24x56 rifle scope is an amazing choice for shooters on a budget. The scope is fairly priced and provides an amazing amount of features for a sub 1000 dollar scope.
