This is a review of Veyron GenII 6-24x44 HD CTR FFP Rifle Scope (SCFF-74) from José Garcês Soares.
The Vector Optics Veyron GenII 6-24x44 HD CTR FFP Rifle Scope (SCFF-74) is the evolution of one of the brand’s most popular compact rifle scopes. Retaining the same overall concept as the first generation, this new version introduces important improvements in optical quality, turret performance, and reticle design, making it an even more attractive option for PCP air rifles, Field Target, Hunter Field Target, and precision shooting.
Its philosophy remains unchanged: deliver a compact, lightweight, and technically complete package without sacrificing image quality or adjustment precision.
Compact Yet Robust
One of the Veyron’s strongest points continues to be its size.
With only 277 mm (10.9 in) of length and 655 g (23.1 oz) of weight, it is perfectly suited for compact PCP rifles, bullpups, and even AR-style platforms, while maintaining excellent balance.
The body is made from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, features an IP56 waterproof and dust-resistant rating, is nitrogen purged to prevent internal fogging, and is rated for 750 G shock resistance.
During testing, it felt extremely solid and well built, inspiring confidence from the very first handling.
Optical Quality
The main upgrade in this second generation is the new LaREE HD glass, which uses rare-earth elements to improve light transmission, contrast, and overall image sharpness.
The lenses are also Fully Multi-Coated, helping to reduce reflections and maximize brightness.
In practical testing, the image showed excellent clarity, strong contrast, and very good sharpness throughout the entire magnification range.
Even at the full 24x magnification, the image remained clean and fully usable.
6-24x Magnification Range
The magnification range is very versatile.
The 6x setting works comfortably for close-range shooting, while 24x provides more than enough precision for target shooting, small targets, and Field Target competition.
It is a well-balanced configuration that allows the same scope to be used across several disciplines.
VVE-1 MIL Reticle in First Focal Plane
The Veyron GenII 6-24x44 HD CTR FFP Rifle Scope (SCFF-74) uses the VVE-1 MIL reticle in First Focal Plane (FFP).
This means all reticle subtensions remain accurate at any magnification.
The highlight is the tiny 0.08 MIL illuminated center dot, which is extremely precise for small targets.
The Christmas Tree design also makes holdovers for elevation and wind corrections much easier without constantly dialing the turrets.
For shooters who rely on holdovers or range estimation through the reticle, this is a significant advantage.
Improved Turrets
The second generation also brings noticeable improvements to the turrets.
Adjustments remain 0.1 MIL per click, but the clicks are now much more defined, tactile, and audible.
During testing they felt consistent and very satisfying to use.
Another major improvement is the Turret Lock system, which prevents accidental adjustments during transport or handling.
The scope also includes a Zero Reset feature, making it easy to return to a known zero after sighting in.
The 30 mm tube provides more than 25 MIL of adjustment range for both elevation and windage.
Side Focus / Parallax
The side focus adjustment starts at 10 yards, allowing comfortable use at very short distances.
The large side wheel included by Vector Optics makes fine adjustments much easier and also helps with distance estimation, which is particularly useful for Field Target shooters.
Real-World Testing
During testing on an RTI Mora in .22 / 5.5 mm caliber at approximately 56 meters (61 yards), the Veyron GenII 6-24x44 HD CTR FFP Rifle Scope (SCFF-74) performed very consistently.
The image remained sharp through the scope camera, the turrets tracked correctly during adjustments, and the reticle proved extremely precise on small targets.
Although this scope is clearly designed for more compact platforms, it performed perfectly well on a larger PCP rifle.
Overall, it was a very positive experience and confirmed what I expected from this second generation.

It is particularly well suited for PCP air rifles, bullpups, Field Target, Hunter Field Target, and precision shooting, offering an excellent balance between size, quality, and performance.
