This is a review of Frenzy FA 18x22 Enclosed MRT Red Dot Sight (SCRD-M75) from Jani Nordman.
Now with a multi-reticle. Like in my 3MOA dot review, the window-to-body ratio is, in my opinion, the best part of this optic. As in the previous versions, the housing-to-window ratio was the wrong way around, like a mailbox, with a tiny window, so most of your target was obscured by the housing. Now it’s the opposite: you get a decent-sized window with smaller housing; this makes it easier to stay target-focused and not be distracted by the housing.

The glass
The glass goes a lot closer to the edge vs the previous version, so both eyes open, the housing doesn’t block as much of your view. I didn’t notice much tint to the glass; of course, there is always a little bit of the green/blue tint, but it’s not distracting. Also, I didn’t notice any real optical distortion, which helps with both-eyes-open shooting.

Housing
As mentioned above, the housing is not as thick, but as this is made from 7075-T6 aluminum, it shouldn’t really make a difference in this being able to take a serious beating.
The battery compartment feels a lot more robust, which was the Achilles’ heel for the previous version; the battery compartment on that one wasn’t easy to open, and after a year, the seal of the compartment would break. Now this one has a new one that, at least for now, feels higher quality.

Key features
This (SCRD-75/M75) family of Frenzy are now my favorite red dot’s from Vector’s lineup, I mounted the 3MOA on my competition gun for the main reasons that its robust, with a good window size and the dot size is my preferred size 3 MOA, and the multi-reticle is now the off-set red dot for my competition AR15 as the 2MOA dot and 65 MOA Circle are perfect for rifles as well.

The mounting standard is the same as the Aimpoint ACRO, so just be aware that if you don’t have that standard ready for your gun, you’ll have to go with an adapter on those. I’ll put a link at the end for adapters from Vector Optics.
I’ve always preferred that the adjustments for up/down, left/right are made with a slot, so in a pinch, you can use the shell casing rim, or key, or anything that fits the slot, but for this model you’ll need a T10 Torx driver to do any adjustments; this is my only gripe for the key features.

Final words
I’ve been very happy with the 3MOA version of this, and all the positive aspects of that are present on the multi-reticle version. I’ll keep using it in my main guns. This also makes a perfect companion on a rifle for a 45-degree offset mount!
I have little doubt about the weight being 64g; this can alter the cycle of the slide and give extra strain on the slide and frame. I’ll put a heavier recoil spring to compensate for this weight.
I’ve used the 3MOA model in the snow, the rain, freezing rain, -5 Celsius to plus 30, and sunlight; the housing has never fogged on the inside. It’s so much easier if you get snow or any debris on the housing, as you just use your finger to clear the two lenses and you have a red dot again!
And last but definitely not least, the brightness is super good! Clearly visible in the sunlight! This is a major plus.
