This year, the winter Polish-Czech shooting competition was held under the name of the Winter Rifle League.

The series of 6 elimination matches replaced the Winter Cup which had been played in the same formula so far.

The league was organized by the following clubs: Dragon Team LOK, KSP JURA LOK, DGST LOK Beaver, Beskydští vzduchovkáři and Hunter Team LOK.

The first elimination match took place on January 16 in Kalety. After the cold morning, during the competition on the track, the competitors were accompanied by spring rather than winter weather.

Stronger gusts of wind appeared only sporadically and most of the participants did a good job of correctly reading the strength and direction of the air movements.

The most difficult target of the competition was the figure on stand no. 25 with a 35mm HZ, shot from a standing position, only 27% of the participants scored an accurate hit here.

On target no. 9 (HZ20mm at 8 meters) the competitors showed almost 100% efficiency.

In HFT, the highest score of 27 points was achieved by Gerard Cebula, only one point less was scored by Sylwester Ślosarczyk.

Behind them there were three competitors who gathered 25 points on the track and stood for the extra time for the lowest step of the podium.

In the end, the bronze medal was won by Wojciech Smolorz, ahead of Tomasz Kocemba and Bartłomiej Cywiński.

At this point, we explain that from this year WHFTO introduced a change in the HFT scoring and for a successful hit we have a "1" point, and for a "plate" or a complete miss, a player gets "0" points.

Dawid Dyrcz triumphed in HFT 2 ahead of Tomasz Widła and Krzysztof Walicki.

Robert Szambelan defeated their rivals in the FT category. Noteworthy is the great performance of Sławomir Opiela, who won a place on the podium of this shooting competition with a spring rifle.

The second round of the league was organized by Dragon Team LOK on January 30 in Dąbrowica.

The competition was played in truly hurricane conditions, the best description of which is the competition statistics - target no. 15 with the HZ35mm at 35 meters was hit accurately by only 12% of the participants, i.e. 2 shooters.

The competition in HFT1 was dominated by players from the Czech Republic, taking all three places on the podium: Vladimir Kvapil, Libor Pacik and Ivo Perina.

Of the Polish shooters, only Wiesław Merkwa that day started an equal fight with the team of our southern neighbors.

In HFT 2, Rafał Matoga was the best in these extreme conditions, overtaking Krzysztof Walicki and Albert Mazurek.

The third elimination match took place on February 13 at the reservoir in Łazy.

As in Dąbrowica, also this time, the results of the competition were greatly influenced by the wind raging over the lake that day.

At times, when air movements hit the missile perpendicular to the firing axis, and the target was at a distance of more than 30 meters, even two dot corrections were not sufficient to hit the HZ, and sometimes even the figure.

In addition, the volatility of windy conditions made it extremely difficult to shoot accurately.

Consolation for the participants was the high attendance and beautiful, sunny weather.

Tomasz Kocemba won in HFT 1 with a high score of 23 points.

Behind him, Karel Ryl and Krzysztof Zając were also on the podium.

In HFT2, Dawid Dyrcz recorded the second victory in this cycle. The next positions were taken by Piotr Olszewski and Witek Rudnik.

In FT, Robert Szambelan added another 100% to his achievements.

On February 27, the Winter League moved to the Mixture.

The conditions that day were perfect for cross-country shooting, the temperature was slightly above zero degrees with slight gusts of wind.

Krzysztof Zając won in HFT1, ahead of Damian Orzoł and Marek Krempczyński, but in such good conditions most of the shooters recorded high results.

In HFT2, Krzysztof Walicki scored the most points, and Dariusz Cieślak and Sławomir Wiśniewski were also on the podium.

In FT his competitors were defeated by Sergei Zubenko, and Tomasz Śliwa won the podium again.

The penultimate round was played on March 13 in Bohumín, Czech Republic, on the site of the factory of the world tycoon in pellet production - JSB, which is well known to all shooters.

The day was practically windless and sunny.

And it was the blinding sun, combined with the targets fired at large angles mounted high in the trees, that was the biggest obstacle for the players. At the end of the competition, there were additionally stronger gusts of wind.

In HFT 1, Tomasz Kocemba recorded another league victory. The competitors from the Czech Republic, Karel Ryl and Jozef Kubus, took the remaining place on the podium. Dawid Dyrcz again triumphed in HFT 2 this season.

Sławomir Wiśniewski and Dariusz Cieślak were right behind him.

In FT, Sławomir Opiela with a spring rifle and Tomasz Śliwa, very regular this season, were on the podium.

The final of the Winter League was played on March 27 in Dzierżno.

Traditionally, the last cup competition attracts numerous participants.

This time, an additional incentive to take part in the last round was the promise of a lottery drawing among the participants of very valuable prizes funded by Vector Optics, including two Continental and Aston scopes.

Summa summarum, over 70 competitors from Poland and the Czech Republic joined the competition.

Both in the most populated HFT1 category - Tomasz Kocemba, and in the HFT2 spring rifle category - Dawid Dyrcz, after good previous cup starts, they had already won their classes.

However, behind their backs, that day, a fierce battle was taking place between a few competitors who still had a chance and hope to take the remaining free places on the podium.

The shooters did not have an easy task that day, because virtually the entire duration of the competition, they were accompanied by very strong, unpredictable gusts of wind.

Miroslav Trudic did the best in these conditions, Karel Ryl was second on the podium after extra time, Tomasz Kocemba was third.

In HFT2, Dawid Dyrcz was victorious.

Behind him was Sławomir Wiśniewski. The third place went to Dariusz Cieslak.

FT fell prey to Janusz Pelucha, for whom it was only an expensive competition after he changed the category from HFT1 to FT.

Huge congratulations and we wish you continued success in FT.
