Here is the Taurus 4-32x56 ED SFP Rifle Scope review from Marco Geiger.
Review of the new Taurus Gen2 4-32x56 ED SFP
What's new with the Taurus Gen2? What has changed? And most importantly, have they gotten even better?
First of all the obvious the Taurus Gen2 have gotten bigger. The Taurus Gen2 is now available with a 34mm tube diameter, large adjustment towers and, in my case, an incredible magnification of 4-32x.
Externally, the Taurus Gen2 4-32x56 ED SFP is very close to a 34mm Continental, the workmanship and the materials used make a high-quality impression.
The lenses of the Taurus Gen2 4-32x56 ED SFP make a high-quality impression and provide a clear image. There are hardly any chromatic aberrations and blurring at the edges is hardly noticeable. The color rendering of the Taurus Gen2 4-32x56 ED SF is very good, but to me it gives the impression that the image loses some color at maximum magnification, which is normal. The illuminated VTA-6 MIL reticle on the second focal plane is very similar to that of a 34mm Continental. It is very fine and therefore does not obscure even smaller targets at long distances.
I really like the new large adjustment towers, not only that they have simply been made larger, but also that the labeling and markings are much better and clearer. The clicks of the adjustment towers are very tactile, short and crisp can be clearly heard and the 34mm center tube diameter means there are enough adjustment options for longer distances. The height adjustment has a zero stop function that can be set very easily, but both adjustment towers cannot be locked.
I think the design of the new Taurus Gen2 series is very successful and the integrated color accent on the eyepiece fits very well and enhances the whole thing a little more. The workmanship is really good. In the end, the new Taurus Gen2 4-32x56 is on the same level as a 34mm Continental, but for me a 34mm Continental is a little better in terms of optical performance.
All in all, YES the new Taurus Gen2 4-32x56 ED SFP has become even better. For me the new absolute insider tip when it comes to price performance a clear thumbs up from me.
