I admit that I was waiting impatiently for this sight.
Earlier, I had read reviews on the Internet praising the quality of Continental, so when Vector Optics confirmed that they were sending me one sample, I checked every day where my parcel was on the Shanghai-Krakow route.
You can really like the viewfinder. The manufacturer has shown attention to every detail, starting from the box and ending with the descriptions of the towers.
The telescope is made of high-quality aluminum covered with an elegant black matte coating.
The towers work properly and have an easy-to-use setting lock system.
Single clicks are well felt. One-click is graduated to 1/10 MIL, that is, 1 cm per 100 m.
Parallax adjustment is smooth and allows you to sharpen the image at a distance from 15 meters to infinity, which is a sufficient solution for shooting with air rifles.
As an HFT shooter, I am sensitive to any unintentional changes in the viewfinder settings, so for me the zoom ring and the correction of the vision defect could work with greater resistance.
The VCT-20 reticle is dedicated to long-range shooting, so it is also ideal for shooting with air rifles, in which the projectile's parabola drops very quickly after leaving the barrel.
The grid lines are thin (0.03MIL at x20 magnification), and the basic reference points are spaced every 0.5MIL and 1.0MIL, which makes taking corrections to the wind and changing the distance to the target as easy as possible.
Personally, I think that a dot constituting the central point of the grid could have a slightly smaller diameter.
Optically, the Continental 5-30x56 is at an incredibly high level. The lens diameter of 56mm provides more light, and thus better visibility of the target in lower lighting conditions.
On dark or shaded targets, the central point of the cross illuminated on a 6-point scale is ideal.
This sight is a really good choice for precision shooting.
In my opinion, in combination with a lifetime warranty, Continental is a product that represents the level of much more expensive brands.
Along with the sight, we get: sunshade, high mounting on a 21mm rail, instructions, additional overlay for the vertical tower, covers for the eyepiece and lens, cloth, several stickers and advertising patches, as well as confirmation of the warranty and discount for the next product
As soon as the weather improves, further tests will take place ...
